"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shown their support for an innovative Scottish festival which is challenging preconceived ideas about mental health during a visit to Dundee.
The Cambridges met the staff and crew behind a moving and thought-provoking piece, In Her Shadows, a visual performance that explores a young woman's relationship with her depression - and highlights the stigmas surrounding the illness."
“In Her Shadows is to be applauded. Not only does it bring depression out into the open, but it also suggests a means of coping with it”Kelly Apter
I would highly recommend this show to gain a deeper understanding of depression. FIVE STARS
"The poem, the movement, the music and the lighting all combine to create a poignant piece which bravely tackles a difficult subject."
"Today I learnt a new language, a language full of vigour and candour, which beautifully portrays the hugeness of depression, and tenderly soothes and nurtures at the same time. In Her Shadows is fantastic. Words fail me."Tom Grayson
"I was mesmerised and loved it, came in feeling fractured but that gently shifted like art heals the inner struggle"
"Congratulations on such a beautiful and beguiling performance”
"Her [Jenny Lindsay] mercurial words, echoed in the dance sequences (choreographed by Ethelinda Lashley), resonate with hopes, glooms and defiant grit – a bravura end to a valiant show.T
